Product Description

The high speed straight line wire drawing machine applies advanced international technology, with digestion and absorption, the drawing machine is applicable for high intensity and performance demand. It is available for drawing welding wires (flux cored wire, submerged-arc welding wire, pas-shielded welding wire), steel wires (low, medium and high carbon steel wire), SS wire, spring wire, prestressed steel wire, hose wire, tyre wire, steel cord and electric wires (copper wire, aluminum wire) and allow steel wire and other metal wires. The capstan diameter of the straight line wire drawing machine is φ350-φ1200mm with maximum inlet diameter of φ14mm and minimum outlet diameter of 0.7mm.

Product Details

1. Wire Drawing Machine Speed Control

At the front of capstan die box is connected the tension arm driven by cylinder, material of pulley and turning roller is GCr15, HRC will reach 55-58 after quenching. When tension arm rotating, it will occur the eccentric wheel and sensor of location changing, feedback signal sensor, control each capstan speed.

Set the double layer fixed guiding wheel and sensor arm with guiding wheel as a loop speed controller. The tension arm is also driven by cylinder, when rotating, the sensor producing a speed control signal to ensure the synchronous tracking with coiler machine or take up machine.


2. Drawing Blocks

2.1 Material and surface condition of capstan

Material is ZG45 steel casting blank body, after quenching and tempering treatment, HB250. Dig 5mm depth on the working surface of capstan, then melt the tungsten, cobalt carbide, overlay welding. Then rough lathing, precision lathing, grinding and polishing, surface roughness can reach to 0.08μm, hardening layer height 300mm, depth≧3mm, HRC 58-62.

All the surface of capstan is processed by lathe, non-contact and operation surface’s roughness is 6.3μm, capstan inner wall sprays zinc, can effectively reduce the formation of cooling water scale.

Capstan spindle hole against axis beating up tolerance is ±0.03μm, capstan dynamic balance level is G6.3.


2.2 Functional requirements of capstan

The capstans before last block are the 7° tilt installation drawing capstan, tilt installation can ensure the capstan reach the maximum wire storage height (300mm) to achieve the best cooling effect. Last capstan is vertically mounted capstan, thus tension device can be mounted after it, so that keep the wire going straight.


2.3 Capstan cooling

The main shaft of capstan is fixedly install an upper spiral water jacket, below is a water wheel. Capstan is mounted on the spindle, the lower part of water jacket and capstan inner wall form 10-15mm water storage. Circulation cooling water from the upper o water jacket to capstan inner wall, the water cabin is filled with cooling water will adequately cool the wounded steel wire. When capstan rotating, spiral groove will keep the cooling water to rise, then flow down along the capstan wall, discharge the water through the upper outlet, forming good circulation water cooling.


3. Brake System

Design the disc brake at the output shaft of each motor. It consists of brake disc and hydraulic clamp pneumatic brake. The complete brake of the machine unit is generated by converter to motor energy consumption brake and pneumatic hydraulic brake. It can guarantee the reliable emergency braking in the high-speed operation of the unit.


4. Skipping

Due to the fact that all drives are designed with constant power it is possible to skip any block of the machine, to accommodate maintenance or to allow for short holing.

Both our drives and the control technology are correspondingly designed. However, for wire guiding reasons we do not recommend skipping block numbers 1and 2 and the last block of the drawing machine.


5. Die Box and Lubricant Box

Circulation water cool the die shell directly, lubricant cabin sets electric mixer to turn drawing powder timely. Die box has additional copper shim, suitable for simple sealing circulating cooling water. Design die seat in the die box, can assist to fix die. Die box can be adjusted in up, down, left and right directions, and lock reliable.

6. Electrical Parts

Electrical control steel central cabinet: sealed cabinet with the function of fan ventilation, filtration, moisture, dust prevention.

Master switch, PLC, variable frequency inverters are installed in the central cabinet. Each inverter microprocessor is in the standard of serial communication and in the protection of others, including relay contact element, light and 220 volt power outlet.

On the door of central cabinet: master switch operation handle, three-phase commutator, total voltmeter, total ammeter, ammeter for each AC motor, 220 volt power outlet and PC connected socket for sequence checking.


7. Safety

The shield uses whole closed structure which is welded section steel and steel plate. Façade designs hopper and transparent window with 10mm thickness polycarbonate plate. Use hollow rubber strips around the shield to protect and serve as a buffer.

Shield is provided with protective contact switch. It’s a device for realizing mechanical locking at run time. (When machine is running with shield opened, the unit immediately drop speed running or parking, recover normal after closing it. When it opens, the unit can only jog.)
